How to Get the Most from Your Photos
Relax and be yourselves. I’ll gently guide you through any posing during your couple photos, but otherwise, I want you to enjoy your day naturally. I’m excited to have a laugh with you both and capture the real moments as they happen.
Communicate your priorities. I’ll use my experience to document the full story of your day, but if there are specific details or moments you want photographed, please let me know in advance.
Engagement Sessions
I offer super relaxed, informal and fun engagement sessions for all couples. My aim is to help you feel completely at ease so you can enjoy your session to the fullest. It’s also a brilliant way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your celebration.
You’ll receive a selection of natural photographs of you both — perfect for your walls, wedding tables, save-the-dates and RSVPs.
Children and four-legged friends are always welcome to join.

Timeline of your day
You’ll often create a timeline with your venue, but if you’re planning the day yourselves, I’m always happy to help with suggestions. Below is a 'general' guide on where photography fits into your wedding day — though I’m completely flexible and will adapt to your timings and plans.
Bridal & Groom Prep
Depending on your package, I usually arrive around two hours before the ceremony. If you’re both getting ready nearby, there’s plenty of time to capture: venue details, dress, suit, accessories, flowers, natural, candid prep moments, and final touches of hair and makeup.
Ceremony
I’ll head into the ceremony around five minutes before it starts to capture guests being seated and to get into position. My approach is always unobtrusive, so I can document the moment as naturally as possible.
Reception
After the ceremony, you may want a confetti tunnel — I’m more than happy to organise this while you enjoy a drink. If you go straight into reception drinks, I’ll capture natural, candid moments of your guests while you mingle.
Group Photographs
If you’d like group photos, I usually recommend doing these around 30 minutes into the reception. This keeps the flow natural and gives you a moment to relax first. My aim is always to keep group photos smooth and efficient so you can get back to enjoying time with your guests. (See the full guide below.)
Wedding Breakfast
Speeches often take place either before or after the meal. I’ll capture them naturally, focusing on reactions, emotion and storytelling moments. I don’t photograph guests while they’re eating. During this time, I’ll be nearby, backing up your images and taking a short break.
First Dance, Cake Cutting & Evening
A few hours after the meal, you may have evening guests arriving, a cake cutting and your first dance. I’ll be there to capture all the moments, followed by dance-floor photos into the evening.
Group photos guide
Here are my tips for keeping group photos smooth, swift and stress-free. I recommend keeping the formal list short (around 8–12 groups). This usually takes 20–30 minutes.
If possible, assigning one or two helpers to gather the next group makes everything run much faster. I’m completely flexible if you’d like to add more photos — just keep in mind it will require more time.
Here’s a suggested list, which you’re welcome to customise:
