Cotswolds Wedding Photographer | The Abbey House Gardens

Penny and Grant married in The Abbey House Gardens, Malsmbery, Cotswolds September 2019. The sun was shining the whole day long it was beautiful. After the ceremony in the cotswolds, everyone was invited to The Holford Arms, Knockdown, Tetbury for the reception where everyone partied into the early hours of the morning, and camped out in tipi tents under the stars, after.

Getting ready

I first arrived at the reception venue, the Holford Arms to capture Grant and his groomsmen setting up the place for the party. They were a great laugh to capture. Afterwards I traveled to The Abbey House gardens, where Penny, her mum and bridesmaids were getting ready for the big day.

The ceremony

Soon after the guests started to arrive and were ushered into the ceremony ready for Penny’s arrival. The ceremony was beautiful, outside yet under shelter, we listened to Penny and Grant saying their vows to each other and enjoyed emotional and meaningful readings from their nearest friends and family.

After the ceremony, the guests strolled round the gardens. Enjoying the sun and playing games on the lawn. We found a quiet 5 minutes where myself and Penny & Grant were able to take some couple portraits. The gardens are beautiful and vast, lots of photographic location which was perfect.

The reception

The wedding reception took place at The Holford Arms in Tetbury. Outside was a lovely marquee, decorated by Penny & Grant, a Disco tent, lots of games, including baseball, Jenga and darts.

After the food and speeches Penny and Grant had organised a band. Who were fantastic, they played some really great hits to get everyone going. It was a fantastic day and was such a pleasure to capture Penny and Grants special day.
