About Jacob,

Bath wedding photographer

Hello! My name is Jacob (he/him), and I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Bath. I’m often found working across the South West, the rest of the UK, and occasionally overseas too.

I grew up just outside Bristol and, although I’ve lived elsewhere, I’ve always found myself gravitating back to the South West for the beautiful countryside, family and friends. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me out hiking or cooking with my wife Kiera and our energetic Cocker Spaniel, Crumpet. We love the outdoors, especially the Inner Hebrides, for the dramatic landscapes, fresh seafood and strong sense of community. In fact, we loved it so much that we decided to get married up there!

While I’m editing your photographs, I’ll probably have my eclectic mix of music playing in the background. It could be country, 90s hip hop, jazz, reggae, indie or rock, depending on how I’m feeling and whether shuffle is on. Yes, my Spotify Wrapped is often questioned by my friends every year.

When I’m not taking photographs, I’m usually partaking in one of my ever-growing list of hobbies, whether that’s cooking, carpentry, gardening, bouldering, reading or finding a nearby hike with a good pub stop halfway round.

I’ve been a full-time photographer for over 10 years, working across fashion, nightlife, automotive and travel, but no matter where my camera took me, I always found myself drawn back to weddings. I love how joyful, emotional and full of energy they are. I know how important wedding photographs are, and I love creating images that you’ll treasure for many years to come.

My approach is honest and natural, with a focus on capturing your day as it really felt.

I love capturing the true feeling of your day in beautiful, candid images. I take a documentary approach to wedding photography, making sure the whole experience is tailored to what’s important to you, from our initial meeting through to the big day and delivering your final photographs.

We were lucky enough to have Jacob capture our day, and he was simply fantastic! As a couple who aren’t that comfortable in front of the camera, he made us feel so relaxed, and the photos show the pure joy we felt on the day.

Jacob had such attention to detail and captured some lovely candid moments. Our guests completely fell in love with him, and it felt only right to ask if we could have a photo with him as he was such a big part of our day! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed looking through our album, and it feels like we’ve been able to relive the best day of our lives. We couldn’t recommend Jacob enough; our expectations were beyond exceeded!

Capturing your story

Your wedding photographs will be one of the most important and sentimental ways to remember your day for years to come. My aim is to capture those memories honestly, through natural and authentic photographic storytelling.

From bridal prep through to late-night dancing, I’ll be there throughout the day, capturing the people, emotions and little moments that make your wedding yours.

We had Jacob as our wedding photographer and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was professional, thorough and well-prepared, he has a very unobtrusive style which was perfect for us as we are not the most comfortable being the centre of attention, but he made us feel at ease and delivered a stunning album that really captured the celebration. Creative portraits

If the thought of posing for photographs makes you feel a little awkward, don’t worry, we’ll keep things relaxed and natural. I’ll give you a little direction when you need it, but there’s no need for anything overly posed or formal.

I like to keep couple portraits and family photographs short and sweet, giving you some beautiful photographs together without taking you away from your friends, family and the party for too long.
