I first photographed a wedding at Court Farm Standerwick in 2021, and it quickly became one of my favourite barn wedding venues in Somerset. Every wedding I’ve captured here has felt completely personal, relaxed and full of character.


Court Farm Standerwick offers accommodation for up to 14 guests, making it ideal for couples who want a full weekend experience rather than a one-day rush. The rustic barn, with its exposed beams, vintage chandeliers and relaxed bar area, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that photographs beautifully in all seasons.


One of the things I really love about this venue is the flow of the day. With the option of using two separate barns, the transition from ceremony to wedding breakfast and into the evening celebrations feels natural and unforced. It keeps guests moving, mingling and fully present — which always leads to more genuine, candid moments.
