If you are searching for the best wedding venues in Bath, this guide covers some of the most beautiful and popular locations in the city and surrounding countryside. As a Bath wedding photographer, I have worked at many of these venues and included real insights to help you choose the right setting for your day.

Roman Baths and Pump Room
Central Bath
Starting with one of the most iconic venues in the city, the Roman Baths and Pump Room is a stunning option for both intimate and larger ceremonies. It offers the chance to exchange your vows in a truly historic setting, surrounded by ancient architecture and a unique atmosphere.
Ceremonies here take place at either sunrise or sunset, which is worth considering when planning your timeline. The ceremony space can accommodate up to 160 guests, with evening receptions for up to 300.
From a photography perspective, it is completely unique. The combination of history, lighting, and setting makes it unlike anywhere else in Bath. Its central location also makes it ideal for guests travelling in, with plenty of nearby accommodation options.
Roundhill Barn, Kelston
North West Rural Bath
Set in the village of Kelston, Roundhill Barn sits high above the surrounding countryside with incredible views across the South West.
This restored Victorian stone barn offers a relaxed, off-grid feel while still being easily accessible from Bath. The venue can host up to 120 guests, with the option to extend capacity using a marquee. There are also camping options on-site, making it ideal for a full weekend celebration.
If you are planning a laid-back wedding where you can personalise every detail, this is a brilliant choice. The views alone make it one of my favourite venues to photograph.
Parade Gardens and The Riverside Colonnades
Central Bath
This is one of the most visually beautiful outdoor ceremony locations in Bath. Set within Parade Gardens and overlooking Pulteney Bridge, it offers a truly memorable setting.
Ceremonies can take place in the Edwardian bandstand or beneath the colonnades. The venue can host up to 100 guests and is fully outdoors, which is worth considering when planning.
It is perfect for couples who want a relaxed, open-air celebration in the heart of the city, with stunning architecture and riverside views.

Wick Farm is a beautifully restored medieval barn just a short drive from Bath. It offers a rural feel while still being very accessible.
With multiple ceremony locations available, both indoors and outdoors, it is a flexible venue that works in all seasons. The barn can host up to 132 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 200 in the evening.
It is a great option if you want a countryside wedding without being too far from the city.
Pennard House
Near Shepton Mallet
Pennard House is one of my favourite venues in the wider Somerset area. It offers a relaxed, boho atmosphere while still feeling well organised and thoughtfully run.
There are multiple ceremony options including an indoor space, a garden pavilion, and a nearby church. The venue can host between 60 and 120 guests for dining and up to 180 in the evening.
From a photography perspective, it has everything. Beautiful gardens, great indoor options, and a natural flow to the day. With onsite accommodation, it also works perfectly for a full weekend wedding.

You can choose from the orangery, gardens, or the nearby church. The venue works for both small and larger weddings, with outdoor capacity up to 200 guests.
It is a visually stunning venue with a relaxed feel and plenty of space for guests to enjoy the surroundings.
Priston Mill
Near Bath
Priston Mill is set within a peaceful valley and offers two distinct spaces, the Watermill and the Tythe Barn.
The Tythe Barn is ideal for larger weddings, while the Watermill suits more intimate celebrations. Both spaces are full of character and run very smoothly throughout the day.
It is a venue that consistently delivers, with great food, beautiful surroundings, and a natural flow that works well for photography.
The Pony Chew Valley
Near Bath
The Pony is a restaurant/pub set above the Chew Valley with beautiful views.
It can host around 100 guests seated and more for the evening. The focus here is on seasonal, locally sourced food, making it a great option if dining is a big part of your day.
While I have not photographed a wedding here yet, the setting and experience make it one to consider.
Noah's Pond
Near Frome
Noah’s Pond offers a relaxed, festival-style wedding setting with tipi structures and woodland surroundings.
With space for between 80 and 160 guests, along with camping and glamping options, it is perfect for couples who want a more informal and creative celebration.
It gives you full flexibility to design your day exactly how you want it.
Guildhall Bath
Central Bath
If you are looking for a simple and elegant ceremony in the city, the Guildhall is a great option.
The Jane Austen Room is ideal for smaller weddings, and you are right in the centre of Bath for photographs afterwards. It is perfect for couples who want something relaxed and straightforward.
Bath Spa Hotel
Central Bath
Set within private gardens while still in the city, Bath Spa Hotel offers a balance of convenience and luxury.
With space for up to 120 guests indoors and larger numbers outside, it is well suited to couples with guests travelling in. The accommodation and setting make it an easy and comfortable choice.

Near Bristol
Folly Farm is a countryside venue with a relaxed and natural feel.
The barn is a blank canvas, allowing you to design your day exactly how you want. Surrounded by rolling hills and with onsite accommodation, it works well for a full weekend wedding.
It is also run by a wildlife trust, which appeals to couples looking for something more environmentally conscious.
