Pennard House is one of those places that never fails to make me smile. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a number of weddings here over the years, and every single one feels completely unique. It’s always such a pleasure to work alongside the lovely team and capture celebrations at this incredible Somerset venue.


Set in the heart of the countryside near Shepton Mallet, Pennard House is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian manor surrounded by peaceful gardens, rolling hills, and wildflower meadows. It’s the kind of place that feels relaxed yet elegant — perfect for couples who want their day to feel timeless but full of character.


The venue has so much to offer for photography. From the charm of The House and its grand interiors to The Coach House, restored in 2012 and now home to the evening party and wedding breakfast — every part of Pennard House has its own warmth and atmosphere. With its working farm, 80-acre apple orchard, and regenerative woodland, it’s a dream backdrop for wedding photos.
