Exeter Wedding Photographer | Cotley Farm

A few years ago, Ruth’s sister came across my photography work, and invited me to capture their wedding in Exeter. I had a absolutely fantastic time so was ecstatic when Ruth asked me to capture hers.

Ruth & Sam tied the knot in August 2019, they had the reception at their friends farm, which they decorated beautifully they we’re blessed with an absolutely stunning weather aswell.

Getting ready

I joined Ruth and her Bridesmaids the morning of the wedding to capture some of the behind the scenes bridal prep. It was a very relaxed morning, and it was so lovely to catch up with the family after a few years.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place at St Leonards church in Exeter. Sam was warmly greeting all of their friends and family who had traveled from far and near. After the ceremony had taken place, there was a lovely display of cakes, tea and coffee before everyone traveled to the reception.

The reception

The reception took place on Ruth & Sam’s friends farm. They had access a week before so started decorating, and did a wonderful job. I love seeing DIY decorated weddings, they really went to town and created a beautiful barn for all their guests to enjoy a meal and dance late into the night.

The evening

To top of the day, Ruth & Sam had organised a barn dance band, they were fantastic at getting everyone involved in the evening. It was so much fun to capture!
