The evening reception is where weddings really loosen up. The formalities are done, ties are loosened, shoes come off, and the dance floor fills with energy. As a Bristol and Bath wedding photographer, this part of the day is always one of my favourites to photograph.

My approach to evening wedding photography is documentary and unobtrusive. I don’t stage moments or interrupt the flow of the night. Instead, I blend into the dance floor, capturing genuine reactions, big laughter, and spontaneous moments as they happen.
From packed dance floors in Bristol city venues to relaxed converted barn weddings around Bath and Somerset, every evening reception has its own personality — and that’s what I aim to reflect in the photographs.
