Court Farm Standerwick Wedding Photographer
As a Court Farm Standerwick wedding photographer, it’s always a joy to capture weddings at one of Somerset’s most relaxed and characterful barn venues. Nestled in the countryside near Frome, Court Farm offers a perfect mix of rustic charm, open space and flexibility — ideal for couples planning a laid-back, personal wedding celebration.
Rosie and Finn’s wedding was exactly that.
I first met Rosie at her sister’s wedding at Pennard House a few years ago, so it was a real honour when they asked me to photograph their own wedding at Court Farm Standerwick. From the very beginning, they had planned a relaxed and meaningful day, centred around family, friends and great atmosphere.
Bridal Preparations at Court Farm Standerwick
The morning began in one of the cottages at Court Farm, where Rosie was getting ready with her bridesmaids — and her baby, which made for such a lovely start to the day. The atmosphere was calm, happy and full of excitement as everyone prepared for the celebrations ahead.
Outside in the sunshine, Rosie’s dad and a friend were busy polishing his Land Rover Defender 90, which would soon become the wedding car.
Woodland Ceremony Near Frome
For their ceremony, Rosie and Finn chose a truly unique setting. They were married in a private woodland owned by friends, just outside Frome.
At the centre of the woodland stood a beautiful, mature tree — the perfect natural backdrop for their vows. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the ceremony felt incredibly intimate and personal. It’s always a privilege to photograph moments like this, where the setting and the people make everything feel so genuine.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the woodland, making the most of the peaceful surroundings before heading back to Court Farm for the main celebration.
Barn Wedding Reception at Court Farm Standerwick
Back at Court Farm Standerwick, the rest of Rosie and Finn’s guests arrived ready for the evening celebrations. The barn looked incredible, filled with beautiful floral arrangements by Bohemian Blooms and thoughtful details throughout.
The beautiful cake was made by Rosie’s sister, Florence of Florence Grace Cakes.
The wedding breakfast and speeches took place inside the barn, with a relaxed and joyful atmosphere as everyone came together to celebrate.
Evening Party & Live Music
As the evening began, the barn transformed into a lively dance floor. A live band played country music, which perfectly suited the vibe of the day and had everyone up dancing, singing and laughing.
It was one of those evenings where the energy never really dropped — exactly the kind of celebration that makes Court Farm Standerwick such a great venue for couples wanting a proper party.
