Laura & Simon's Wedding at Glebe Barn


As a Glebe Barn wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure to capture weddings at this relaxed and characterful countryside venue. With on-site accommodation, beautiful grounds and flexible outdoor spaces, Glebe Barn is perfect for couples planning a laid-back wedding with all their friends and family in one place.


Laura and Simon’s wedding in September was a brilliant example of exactly that.



Bridal Preparations at Glebe Barn


The morning began in one of the on-site cottages, where Laura was getting ready with her mum and bridesmaid. It was a calm and happy start to the day, with soft, even light thanks to the overcast weather, ideal for natural, documentary-style photographs.


One of the most memorable moments from the morning was Laura’s first look with her dad outside the cottage. As soon as he saw her, he became emotional, a really special moment and one I always love capturing.



Groom Preparations On Site


Meanwhile, Simon was getting ready in one of the apartments at Glebe Barn with his groomsmen. Having everything on-site always helps the day flow smoothly, and it meant I could easily move between both preparations to capture those relaxed, in-between moments before the ceremony.



Outdoor Ceremony at Glebe Barn


Laura and Simon chose to hold their ceremony outside under the open-sided marquee, surrounded by their closest family and friends.


It was a beautiful, personal ceremony, made even more memorable by their flower girls, two golden retrievers, who completely stole the show. It’s always great to see couples bring their personalities into the day like this, and it made for some really fun, natural moments.



Drinks Reception & Garden Celebrations


After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés out in the grounds, making the most of the warm September weather. The atmosphere was relaxed and social, with everyone able to spread out and enjoy the space.


We took family photographs during this time, along with a few short couple portrait sessions, keeping everything natural and easy-going so Laura and Simon could spend as much time with their guests as possible.



Evening Party & Live Music


As the day moved into the evening, the celebrations continued with a selection of outdoor games, giving guests even more ways to relax and enjoy the setting.


Later on, the band kicked off the evening party, filling the dance floor and keeping the energy high all night. It was one of those weddings where everyone was fully involved, dancing, laughing and making the most of the celebration.
