The Old Municipal Buildings, Taunton Wedding & Somerset Farm Marquee Celebration
Evie and Charlie found my work online and got in touch about creating a bespoke photography package for their wedding celebrations near Taunton in Somerset. They were planning something a little different — a relaxed two-day celebration beginning with a small ceremony at The Old Municipal Buildings in Taunton, followed by a larger marquee celebration with family and friends at the family farm the next day.
On Friday, Evie and Charlie were married at Taunton Registry Office at The Old Municipal Buildings, surrounded by their closest family and friends — and their lovely golden cocker spaniel, who was very much part of the day. It was a really intimate ceremony, full of smiles.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered for a relaxed evening meal together. Drinks were flowing, music was playing, and there was even a bit of golf being played in the garden. The food was an incredible spread lovingly cooked by family, and speeches carried on long into the evening as everyone settled into the celebrations.
The following day, I joined Evie and Charlie at their parents’ farm just outside Taunton for their Somerset farm marquee wedding. The morning preparations were wonderfully relaxed, with both of them getting ready surrounded by friends and family.
Before guests arrived, we took a few quiet couple photographs together in the beautiful gardens at the farmhouse — a lovely, calm moment before the celebrations began.
As the afternoon unfolded, friends and family arrived to celebrate their marriage, filling the garden and marquee with laughter and colour. A confetti tunnel followed the ceremony before we captured some relaxed group photographs together.
The evening celebration was a brilliant party. Wood-fired pizza was served from the marquee, music played through the speakers, and the bar kept the drinks flowing while everyone danced and enjoyed the warm July evening. It was such a fun and laid-back Taunton farm wedding to photograph.
Evie and Charlie created a celebration that felt completely personal to them, surrounded by the people they love most. It was a real joy to document such a relaxed and joyful couple across two wonderful days.
