Tall John’s House Wedding Photographer


I had the pleasure of capturing Aisling and Liam’s beautiful spring wedding at Tall John’s House in April. Set in the Brecon Beacons, Tall John’s House is an incredible wedding venue surrounded by countryside and mountains, making it a dream location for relaxed and natural wedding photography.


The day began with bridal preparations with Aisling in the light-filled bridal suite. The room has beautiful natural light which is perfect for photographs. I captured a few quiet moments of Aisling finishing her vows while the morning preparations continued with her bridesmaids getting ready around her.


Once Aisling was in her dress, she walked downstairs to do a first look with her dad — a really emotional moment and a lovely way to start the day.


It was great to see Liam again, a previous colleague of mine. I had previously photographed him during some contemporary dance sessions, so it was lovely to reconnect and capture his wedding day. I joined Liam and his three groomsmen out the front of the house to capture some relaxed portraits. They had great fun with it, walking towards the camera and giving me some brilliant poses which made for some really natural photographs.


The ceremony took place inside the beautiful converted barn at Tall John’s House. Hundreds of delicate paper origami birds hung from the ceiling, creating a stunning backdrop as the ceremony began, accompanied by the music of a harpist.


After the ceremony, celebrations moved outside where Aisling and Liam enjoyed drinks and canapés with their guests in the courtyard. I left them plenty of time to meet and greet their friends and family before gathering everyone for group photographs, followed by some relaxed couple portraits around the grounds of Tall John’s House.


The evening meal took place back inside the main barn, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The celebrations continued late into the evening with an incredible live band that had the dance floor full all night.
