Bath Wedding Photographer - Natural, Relaxed Wedding Photography in Bath & Somerset

If you’re looking for a relaxed, documentary-style Bath wedding photographer, you’re in the right place. Based in Somerset, I photograph weddings across Bath and the South West with a natural, storytelling approach that focuses on genuine moments rather than stiff poses. Whether you’re celebrating in the heart of the city or at one of Somerset’s beautiful countryside venues, my aim is to create timeless photographs that feel honest, joyful and unmistakably you.

There’s something incredibly special about photographing weddings in Bath. From the elegant Georgian streets and historic architecture to the rolling Somerset countryside just beyond the city, it offers an incredible backdrop for every kind of celebration. It’s a place where grand city weddings, relaxed barn celebrations and intimate garden ceremonies all feel perfectly at home.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings at many of Bath’s most beautiful venues, including Priston Mill, Folly Farm, The Guildhall, The Riverside Colonnades, Parade Gardens and private family homes. Every wedding is different, which is exactly why I love what I do.

Whether you’re planning a full weekend celebration, an intimate elopement or a relaxed countryside wedding, I’d love to help tell your story through natural, heartfelt photography.

Why choose Bath for your wedding

It’s easy to see why Bath is one of the UK’s most loved wedding destinations. As a UNESCO World Heritage city, it combines beautiful honey-coloured Georgian architecture with stunning countryside, giving couples an incredible variety of venues to choose from.

Whether you’re dreaming of saying your vows in the historic Roman Baths, celebrating with family at Priston Mill, enjoying an outdoor ceremony at Folly Farm or hosting a marquee wedding overlooking the Somerset hills, Bath offers something for every style of wedding.

One of my favourite things about photographing weddings here is how much variety there is within such a small area. You can wander through elegant city streets, photograph portraits in beautiful gardens and finish the evening watching the sunset over the countryside, all within a short drive.

If you’re planning your wedding in Bath, you’re spoilt for choice with incredible venues, talented local suppliers and some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere in the South West.

My Photography approach

My approach is simple: I want you to spend your wedding day enjoying every moment, not worrying about the camera.

Most of my couples tell me they’re a little nervous about having their photo taken. The good news is you don’t need to know how to pose or spend hours away from your guests. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but for the majority of the day I’ll quietly document everything exactly as it happens.

I’m there to capture not just the big moments like the ceremony, confetti, speeches and first dance, but everything in between too. The hugs from family, the laughter with friends, the happy tears, the quiet glances across the room and the packed dance floor at the end of the night.

Those are the moments that can’t be recreated, and they’re often the photographs couples tell me they treasure most.

If you’re planning a relaxed wedding and want photographs that feel natural, colourful and full of genuine emotion, you’ll probably feel right at home with my approach.

FAQ

How much does a Bath wedding photographer cost?

Depending on the coverage you'd like, my packages range from £500 to £2,350. For couples with unique timelines, I also offer bespoke pay-per-hour packages. Please get in touch for details.

Do you travel across Somerset?

Yes, I’m based on the outskirts of Bath and capture weddings in and around Bath city centre. However, I travel all across the South West, to London, and around Europe when invited. All of my main packages include travel within England and Wales.

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book 1–2 years in advance, but I’m happy to be flexible. If you’re getting married within a month or even up to three years in advance, please get in touch to check my availability.

Do you shoot analogue film?

Yes! I offer my couples the option to include 35mm analogue film alongside digital photography in their wedding photography packages.

Even as digital photography evolves year by year, analogue film has a charm all its own. It captures moments in a genuine, heartfelt way, with a soft texture, gentle tones, and little imperfections that give each image a timeless, natural, and human feel.

Do you photograph small weddings?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet

What happens if it rains?

Most venues are well prepared for this and have strong indoor options. From a photography perspective, some of the best moments can still happen in the rain, and I'm not worried about getting wet.
