Lauren and Sam married at The Orangery at Goldney House, Clifton, in September. It was such a beautiful day.
I started the morning at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel in the centre of Bristol, where Sam was getting ready with his groomsmen. The vibe was relaxed — a few laughs, a bit of banter, and a quick toast of Mount Gay rum before heading off. I grabbed a few natural shots of the guys straightening ties and helping each other get ready.
A few rooms away, Lauren was finishing off her hair and makeup with her bridesmaids. I joined them for the last hour to some morning prep moments — the dresses hanging up, final touches of makeup, and plenty of laughter and nerves before heading out.
The ceremony took place outside on the beautiful grounds of Goldney House, tucked between the trees. It was led by Julie Lane and felt really personal and relaxed — the perfect setting for a late summer wedding.
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn while playing a few garden games, including croquet. The afternoon was full of laughter, chatting, and a few stolen quiet moments for photos around the gardens.
Later on, guests headed into The Orangery for speeches, dinner, and a good party. Lauren and Sam had a DJ who played all their favourite tracks, and once the dancing started, it didn’t stop until late!
It was such a great day to photograph — full of personality, love, and fun. The Orangery at Goldney House is one of my favourite Bristol wedding venues. They’ve got that mix of elegance and character, with plenty of space for guests to enjoy and amazing spots for photos.
Thanks again, Lauren and Sam, for having me along — it was such a fun day to capture.
