Rachel & Neil’s wedding at Over Barn at Over Farm was an absolute joy to photograph. I first met them in the winter for their engagement photoshoot, and they were such a lovely couple that I couldn’t wait to capture their big day. I began the morning with Neil at The Lock Keeper in Gloucester, where we took candid photos of him getting ready — tying his tie, putting on his jacket, and sharing a glass of champagne with his groomsmen and family before heading over to Over Barn.
When I arrived at Over Farm, Rachel was having the finishing touches done to her hair and makeup. The atmosphere inside Over Barn was calm and relaxed, and the venue looked stunning as her bridesmaids prepared the final details.
The ceremony was beautiful. The barn was dressed with gorgeous floral décor, and R&N exchanged heartfelt vows before celebrating with their first kiss, walking out to cheers from their closest friends and family. Over Barn at Over Farm is such a fantastic wedding venue — it offers relaxed, rustic charm with thoughtful details throughout. The courtyard made the perfect setting for the reception, with canapés, drinks, lawn games, bowling, and plenty of seating for guests to unwind.
Speeches took place outdoors before everyone moved inside for the wedding breakfast. Afterwards, I took Rachel and Neil around the farm for some relaxed couple portraits. The rows of spruce and fir trees created a beautiful natural backdrop, and the giant wooden pumpkin crates — iconic to Over Farm — added a fun, unique setting for photos.
Rachel and Neil chose a ceilidh to kick off the evening celebrations, and it was such a brilliant choice! It got everyone involved and made for incredible candid moments. It truly was an honour to capture their Over Barn wedding, and I’m so grateful to Rachel and Neil for inviting me to be part of their day.
